The original medal was found and returned to the authorities in September 1919, whereupon the duplicate was returned by Pope and the original medal was forwarded to him on 18 October 1919. Pop[e was awarded a Bar to his medal on 8 April 1920. For services during the Great War he was also entitled to the 1914 Star and Bar trio. Sold with full research.
