Arthur Trevor Leslie was the son of Dr. C. Leslie, Bishop of Kilmore, Elphin, and Ardagh. He was educated at Harrow and joined the Buffs in May 1867, becoming Lieutenant in December 1869, Captain in December 1875, and Major in February 1882. He served in the Perak expedition in 1875-76 (Medal with Clasp) and in the Afghan War in 1879 (Medal). Major Leslie died in 1886.
