289 officers and men of the Royal Navy served with the Nile Flotilla, including 61 who were also present at Abu Klea and 13 who were present at Kirbekan.

C. Duggan was born at Woolwich on 13 February 1861, and enlisted for 12 years on 28 May 1883. A fitter by trade, he was ‘shore invalided’ on 10 November 1888 (ADM 188/161).

A duplicate medal and clasp was issued on 21 September 1886 and another on 28 July 1937
