Louis Frederick Pearson was born on 11 December 1863. He was educated at Grosvenor School, Nottingham. An Engineer, he eventually became head of the family business, Beeston Boiler Co. He was President of the Institute of Heating Engineers in 1903. In the Great War he was Chairman of the Beeston V.A.D. Hospital, and a member of Mayor’s Recruiting Committee, represented the Ministry of Munitions in the Nottingham area and was on the Road Transport Committee. For his wartime services he was awarded the C.B.E. (Civil) in 1919. Pearson also served in the Special Constabulary, becoming Chief Special Constable. He was awarded the Special Constabulary Long Service Medal bearing this rank sometime between 1919-23. From 1911 until 1933 Pearson was Chairman of the Rushcliffe Division Conservative Association, and ‘for his public and political services in Nottingham’ he was created a Knight on 29 June 1923. In 1927 he was appointed a J.P. for Nottinghamshire, in 1934 was appointed Sheriff for Nottinghamshire, and in 1937 was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant for the County of Nottingham. Sir Louis Pearson, Kt., C.B.E., D.L., J.P., died at his home at Lenton Grove, Nottinghamshire on 5 November 1943. Sold with copied research.
