John Allen, grocer, alive in 1664; Joseph Bott, clothworker, found guilty at Quarter Sessions of trading as a grocer without the necessary apprenticeship in 1655, also tried for a similar offence in 1658, later received relief after the Plague from the Cunnington charities of Braintree; Robert Crane (†1686), innholder, recipient of charity after the Plague; John Hunwicke (†1668), clothier and informer against the Quakers, owned land and property in Bocking, wife’s name Francis; William Martin, tobacconist, constable of Braintree 1653, recipient of charity after the Plague; Thomas Merrills (†1698), clothier, wife’s name Elizabeth, née Wallis, also issued a token at Bocking (see previous lot); William Osborne (†1714), baker, wife’s name Mary; Peter Pearce, weaver, churchwarden 1684; Henry Thornback, glover, †by 1682, wife’s name Mary; William Ungly, hosier
