Charles I (1625-1649), Unite, 1644, mm. Oxford plume, crowned bust in collar and armour right, holding sword and laurel branch, rev. legend and Declaration in continuous scroll, three Oxford plumes above, date and ox below, 8.96g/6h (B-J –/18; SCBI Brooker 854 and Schneider 326, same dies; N 2389; S 2735A). Obverse very slightly double-struck but nearly extremely fine with attractive tone, rare (£2,500-3,000)
