Marriage of the Prince of Wales and Princess Alexandra, 1863, a silver medal by T. Ottley, busts in medallions, rev. wreath, all of the original legend except h.r.h. the prince of wales removed and replaced with engraved legend reading presented this medal to mr a lacomme for his philanthropy & medical services. london 1865, edge inscribed given by h.r.h. the prince of wales to dr a. lacomme, 65mm (W & E 931A.3 var.; BHM 2767 var. [see footnote, this piece cited]). Small edge bruise, otherwise good very fine and toned, unique £400-£500
