Manfred Thelen

Manfred Thelen first started collecting coins as a teenager in Germany, generally postwar coins from circulation.

He later moved to the UK and while living in Kent in 1986 he came across a company called The Farthing Specialist; he started ordering Elizabeth II Farthings from them and his collection of British coins expanded from there. Over the years he found additional reliable and trusted dealers such as Colin Cooke and John Welsh. The focus of his collection was the reigns of Victoria, Edward VII, George V, George VI and Elizabeth II, and over the past 30 years he has tried to buy the best grade coins of these five monarchs he could find.
