A late 19th century diamond stickpin, set with an oval rose-cut diamond in an open claw setting, mounted in gold, case signed ‘R. French, Glasgow’, terminal diameter 6mm. £150-£200

The diamond is fairly clean and bright, slightly un-even in outline with some chipping around the girdle. The mount shows minimal wear. Indistinct partial assay mark. Diamond measures approximately 5.8 x 4.95 x 2mm. Gross weight 1.55gm.
