A ruby and diamond pendant, French, circa 1910, the circular pendant pierced and decorated with ivy and scrolling foliage, with a flower set with pear-cut rubies and rose-cut diamond highlights, mounted in gold, French assay mark, length including bale 31mm. £400-£600
General light surafce wear to the mount and settings commensuarte with age and use. The rubies are well matched, with typical inclusions and colour zoning observed with the unaided eye. Some minor abrasion to the facet edges and one stone with a small nick to the crown facets observed under 10x magnification. The diamonds are bright and lively, again with some slight abrasion / wear observed under magnification. Gross weight 7.1gm.
