On 20 September 1880 William and Martha Callow, together with their only daughter, Alice, were in their house on Charles Street, Islington Green, when fire broke out. A passerby, 18 year old Henry W. Hearnden from Bromley, London, entered the burning building and successfully rescued the 11 year old Alice. Sold with some copied research.
