A French silver and enamel vesta case, circa 1900, the front enamelled with a partially dressed young lady holding a tray of buns, strategically placed, with French words below, ‘Ouvert per ...’, the reverse depicting a young boy, wearing spectacles and a hat and reading a newspaper, the hinged cover decorated with an overflowing basket, and opening to reveal a turquoise blue enamelled interior, the sides decorated with rose buds, with strike plate to the base, unmarked, length 4.5cm. £550-£600
